The Technology Information Promotion Agency for Small and Medium Businesses (TIPA) and the Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL) operated the ‘Small and Medium Business R&D Performance Company Certification Linkage Program’ to support small and medium-sized businesses that have completed technology development to resolve technical regulations and certification issues encountered during the product launch process.
This program was conducted by matching 20 small and medium-sized enterprises with experts to provide domestic and international certification consulting, testing, analysis, and performance evaluation, and new product certification process development from the early stages of R&D.
Enerfive (CEO Eun-Tae Kim) said that after developing a smart distribution panel system for home IoT-based remote power control, they had experienced difficulties due to the complex certification process due to the nature of convergence technology, but through this program, they were able to successfully prepare the necessary procedures, including mock tests and electromagnetic wave certification.
Through its program, TIPA has achieved results not only in improving certification readiness but also in increasing the potential for practical commercialization, and plans to continue supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in commercializing their products.
